About this section

We take the security of our site and the protection of your data very seriously. This section will tell you

  • How your data is managed
  • How your data is secured
  • What you can do to further secure your planning data

CrisisPro Online - Site Security

No payments are made via this site so privacy of bank details is not an issue. Nevertheless, we have applied similar levels of security which recognise that the data you enter and the documents you generate or store during the planning process may contain personal data or commercially sensitive information.

Specific security measures that we take include the following:

Secure servers – This is a secure site as evidenced by the https web address and padlock symbol which are displayed when you enter the planning area. This means that data transmitted over the internet between users and our servers incorporates SSL encryption and the site is certified by Thawte, a Verisign company.

Data-sharing – We do not sell or pass any of your data to third parties, nor pass it to any other organisation within our group.

Dedicated servers – Your planning data is stored on servers which are dedicated to this web site. Access to the server is therefore confined to authorised users and the people employed by or contracted to us to maintain the site and the server.

Login process – The combination of a unique plan number, user name and password means that access to your data is confined to those with whom you choose to share your login details. The managers of this site do not examine your data unless you ask us to in order to resolve a technical query.

Hosting  – Our servers are housed by a specialist hosting company in a secure, purpose-built IT housing facility incorporating the levels of firewall and virus protection, physical security, safety and hardware maintenance features that you would expect of such a facility. The hosting company has been vetted for financial stability and is contracted to us under a Service Level Agreement.

Back-up – Our servers operate with an array of drives on which all data is mirrored so that a drive failure should not disrupt usage or cause loss of data. Against the possibility of catastrophic damage to the primary site, data is automatically backed up to a second secure server at a geographically remote location which should not be affected by the same incident. In the case of outage at the primary site a switch will be made to the backup to ensure continuation of service.

Transfer of data by tape or disk - Except in the case of an extreme emergency, your data will not be stored or transferred on any tape or disk which leaves the secure confines of the host sites.  Our hosting procedures have been deliberately designed to avoid the need for this.

Additional security measures that you can take:
Login security – Do not share your login details with anyone you do not trust. Change your password if you have reason to question whether your login information remains secure.

Document security - Protect sensitive documents that you store on our site with passwords and/or data encryption methods of your choice.

Data security on your PC or network - Apply appropriate security measures to the computers that you use to access this site.

Data deletion – You retain the control to delete from our servers any documents or data about which you become concerned, just as you can from your own computers. On notification by your provider that you no longer require our planning facility, we will delete all your data and documents from our servers
